Fraud Prevention Statement
Due to increasing ecommerce fraud, Prickly Petal Boutique has implemented strict fraud prevention procedures to protect our customers and our business.
We utilize:
Address verification systems (AVS)
Card security verification (CVV)
Fraud scoring tools
Manual transaction review
Orders may be delayed pending verification.
Require signature on delivery for orders over $125
We do not tolerate fraudulent purchases or improper chargebacks.
1. Payment Authorization
By placing an order with Prickly Petal Boutique, you represent and warrant that:
You are the authorized cardholder.
All billing information provided is accurate and verifiable.
The billing name and billing address must match the shipping information provided at checkout.
Orders with mismatched billing and shipping addresses may be delayed, manually reviewed, or canceled at our discretion.
2. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept major debit and credit cards excluding American Express.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order paid with unsupported or restricted payment methods.
3. Manual Order Processing
All orders are subject to manual review prior to fulfillment.
Because many of our items are handmade and made-to-order, payment verification may be conducted before production begins.

Cancel or refund any order flagged as high risk or potentially fraudulent by our ecommerce platform, payment processor, or fraud detection systems
4. Fraud Prevention & Order Cancellation
Prickly Petal Boutique reserves the right to cancel any order suspected of fraudulent activity.
Indicators may include but are not limited to:
High-risk fraud score
Address mismatch
Multiple failed payment attempts
Suspicious purchasing patterns
Inconsistent customer information
If an order is canceled due to suspected fraud, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
By completing a purchase, you agree to contact us directly to resolve any issue prior to initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer.
Unauthorized chargebacks filed after merchandise has shipped or been delivered may be treated as theft of goods and services.
In the event of a fraudulent or unwarranted chargeback:
We reserve the right to pursue recovery of the original transaction amount.
We may submit documentation to your issuing bank to dispute the claim.
We may refer unpaid balances to a third-party collections agency.
We may seek recovery of administrative fees, merchant chargeback penalties, and associated costs incurred in responding to the dispute.
An administrative recovery fee of up to $350 may be assessed to cover documented merchant penalties, dispute processing fees, and recovery costs.
6. Legal Rights Reserved
Prickly Petal Boutique reserves all rights permitted under state and federal law to pursue civil remedies in cases of confirmed payment fraud or theft of merchandise.
